TRAC Photo Workshop - 10/8/2022

Featuring the Three Rivers Avian Center Ambassadors

I spent an afternoon at a photo workshop at the Three Rivers Avian Center (TRAC) near Hinton, WV. TRAC is a non-profit organization dedicated to conserving West Virginia's wild birds and to educating and involving the public in ecosystem stewardship. They accept injured birds, treat and rehabilitate them, and return them to the wild. The birds seen here had injuries or were imprinted on human beings, so they could not be released. When I got home, I started going through the 350+ photos that I took and pared it down to these. The birds include a Great Horned Owl (Hoolie), two Screech Owls (Felix and Olga), a Barred Owl (Robbie), an American Kestrel (Gimli), a Peregrine Falcon (Dori), a Broad-winged Hawk (Max) and a Red-tailed Hawk (Ryan).
