We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary by renting Montana Homestead, a house in Columbia Falls, Montana for a week in early August. Charles & Kellie (our older son and his wife), Daniel & Jill (our younger son and his wife) and Alexa & Haley (our granddaughters) spent the week with us. The house was perfect with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone, a great kitchen and living room, and everything that we could possibly need.
Charles rented a car and provided transportation for his parents. Daniel and his famiily drove their truck from Colorado. They brought along their bikes, paddleboards and other toys. With two vehicles we were free to do things together or as separate groups.
The main attraction was Glacier National Park. One day we took a Red Bus Tour from Apgar Center to Logan Pass and back. It was a nice way to see some of the park without the pressure of driving. We went out after breakfast each day with lunch packed and were home in time to make dinner.
